Reserved house left = all odd-numbered seats

Rain or Shine Event - No Refunds:
As Symphony Rocks is the FMSO’s only fundraiser, in the event of a cancellation, there will be no refunds. If you have purchased tickets in advance and the concert is canceled, we will send you a letter of receipt upon request, noting your donation to the symphony which may be used for tax deduction purposes.

Rain Info - If there is light rain, the concert will proceed. If there is heavy rain, the concert will be either delayed or called off depending on the radar/forecast of the storm’s duration and intensity. If lightning develops during the performance, the concert will be called off.

Concert tickets and seating:

RESERVED SEATS are the amphitheater chair-type seats. Reserved seats sell out very quickly - early ticket purchase is recommended.

The GENERAL ADMISSION Bench and Lawn seating areas are pictured below. Please note that lawn chairs with legs are NOT allowed in the lawn area. Solid seats (no legs), cushions, or blankets are welcome.
No outside food or drink allowed.

2011 - Inaugural SYMPHONY ROCKS

Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome performing together, followed by a VIP post-concert party.

2012 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - "Fargo Star" finalists as guest vocalists

Highlights: 4 orchestra showpieces, songs by Journey, Peter Gabriel, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire and more.

2013 - SYMPHONY ROCKS with Poitin

Highlights: the local Irish pub band POITIN joined FMSO and PTFS for some funky jigs and reels.

2014 - SYMPHONY ROCKS "Hot, Hot, Hot!"

Highlights: steel drum band FUEGO TROPICAL from Minnesota State University Moorhead joined FMSO and PTFS - "Caribbean Barbeque" was the pre-party theme.

2015 - SYMPHONY ROCKS "Funkytown"

Highlights: Jazz guest vocalist Bruce Henry from Chicago - dancers performed in the aisles to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" - "Groovy Retro Bash" was the pre-party theme, many attendees dressed 70s style.

2016 - SYMPHONY ROCKS "Wild Wild West"

Highlights: Guest vocalists Jessie Veeder and Blind Joe - dancers performed in the aisles to "Wild Wild West" - the sold-out pre-party's theme was "Cowboy BBQ" complete with a "cow-pie toss" cornhole game for prizes.

2017 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - "Legends of Rock"

Highlights: The program paid tribute to great artists who had passed away in the past year, including David Bowie, Prince, George Michael, Leonard Cohen and others. "Party Like a Rock Star" was the theme for the pre-party.

2018 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - “British Invasion”

Highlights: The greatest music to hit America from the British Isles, including Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen, Adele and more. “British Pub” was the the theme for the pre-party.

2019 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - “Motown to Memphis”

Highlights: Classic R&B hits by Al Green, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and more, featuring guest soloists Andrina Brogden and Ronnie Allen. This year all ages were welcome to our “Food Trucks and Fun” Family Pre-party!

2021 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - “Celebrate! 10 Years of Symphony Rocks”

Highlights: Guest vocalist Ronnie Allen and favorites from 10 years of concerts

2022 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - “Sounds of Summer”

Highlights: A variety of summer-themed songs from Chicago, The Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, and Stevie Nicks, to hits from Beyoncé and the exuberant, Grammy-winning “Freedom” by Jon Batiste, this concert also featured a 20-voice chorus

2023 - SYMPHONY ROCKS - “Higher Ground: Nashville to Funk”

Highlights: Inspired by the Grammys duet by Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton,
the FMSO and Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome performed a mix of country & funk
tunes perfect for a warm summer night.
